Earvin 'Magic' Johnson, born August 14, 1959 in Lansing, Michigan is one of the most popular NBA players of

all time.

He spent his entire playing career with the Los Angeles Lakers between 1979 to 1991 and then again in 1996,

coming out of retirement. In his career he won 5 NBA championships, appeared in 12 NBA All-Star games and

was MVP 3 times. He also won an Olympic Gold Medal in the 1992 Olympic Games in Barcelona where he

was apart of the infamous Dream Team. After retirement he became a prominent crusader for HIV

prevention, Johnson himself being HIV positive.
